Tape mini sawmills for the home. Do-it-yourself band sawmill: drawings

So, the machines are bought, it remains to install and configure them. This should definitely be left to the professionals! However, it is better to equip a place for them in advance. If the sawmill is not located indoors, then it is necessary to do for it. You can save a lot of money and put together a simple but strong wooden canopy, which will last for 5 years, and then replace it. Or you can immediately invest more money and order a canopy made of iron rails, such canopies are usually stronger and last much longer, but are more expensive to install.

For the convenience of production, one should make a slope on the side of the sawmill - iron guides on which the round wood will be located and along which it will be delivered to the sawing site. As a rule, a place for a temporary warehouse is also equipped near the sawmill, where the products produced during the shift will be stored.

The plan of the future sawmill should be carefully thought out in advance, since the entrance to the warehouse is inconveniently located, or incorrectly set slopes can delay manufacturing process and consequently reduce the potential profit.

Band sawmill: advantages and disadvantages. Criterias of choice

The band sawmill is one of the most promising and popular types of woodworking equipment. As a rule, a band sawmill is a small machine and is used for cutting almost any. The cutting tool here is, having a width of 32-50 mm. With the help of an electric motor, the saw moves and cuts the material.

The advantages of band sawmills include:
Possibility to produce 20-25% more wood than classic sawing methods.
Energy saving, great mobility of this woodworking equipment.
Accessibility for small businesses, as tape is acceptable.
Processing accuracy (0.3-0.5 mm per 8 meters of log).
Reducing waste by 2.5 times compared to traditional methods.
The ability for the operator to quickly switch to the desired sawing size with high accuracy.
The ability to obtain wood up to 5 mm thick and saw wood up to 1 meter long.
Individual cutting of each individual log (if necessary).

Disadvantages of band sawmills:
Less productivity compared to frame and. But this disadvantage is eliminated if a band saw and a positional type are used together.
The band sawmill does not guarantee the accuracy of the radial cut. This is especially noticeable when this woodworking equipment receives freshly sawn conifer tree. Due to the fact that the material is resinous and there is a lot of moisture in it, resin sticks to the cutting edges of the saw and other moving parts during cutting, and therefore “ripples” form on the surface of the tree. This shortcoming can also be avoided by using cleaners and lubricants more frequently.

As you can see, all the disadvantages of a band sawmill can be avoided. Therefore, the advantages of this type of woodworking equipment make it by far the most relevant and in demand among other sawing methods. How ?

You should pay attention to several factors:

1. Rails. The quality of the sawmill is directly proportional to the severity of the rails. The reason is the weight of the log: if you put a log of 1-2 tons on the rails weighing 70 kg, then the rail track will obviously not withstand it. Therefore, the length of the rail track must be at least 8.5 meters (otherwise, rolling the log onto the rails will become an additional problem). In addition, make sure that the rail track has adjustment devices.

2. Engine power. The engine must have a power of at least 11 kW. If the power is less, the cut is slower, the productivity is reduced. In addition, low engine power reduces the speed of the saw and degrades the quality of the resulting surface.

3. Pulley diameter. The main problem of a band sawmill is that the saw breaks. One of the reasons is the bending / straightening of the saw during the rotation of the pulleys. At the same time, the smaller the pulley diameter, the more revolutions are needed in order for the saw speed to remain linear (30 m / s). The larger the diameter, the less turns required. Therefore, the larger the pulley diameter, the less bending / bending of the saw is carried out. Therefore, the less likely it is to break the saw.

4. Saw width. The wider the better. As a rule, narrow blades are used for carpentry, but not for sawing.

5. Accessories. The professionalism of the band sawmill is evidenced by the presence of such auxiliary equipment as an automatic log saw, a log tilter, a top lift, etc.

In any case, before choosing and buying such woodworking equipment as a band sawmill, you should consult with experts in this field and learn from them in more detail about all the nuances.

Mini sawmill - band sawmill

A mini sawmill is the simplest and most inexpensive option for sawing logs into edged and unedged boards, which is suitable for farmers and entrepreneurs.

A mini band sawmill is the simplest and most inexpensive option for sawing logs into edged and non-edged boards, which is suitable for farmers and private entrepreneurs. These machines can become the basis of your business when you cut boards not only for your own needs, but also provide sawing services to your neighbors, or sell finished lumber.

With age, a person begins to think about the fact that he just needs a passive rest in the country in his own cozy house. Exemplary fathers of the family always make sure that the built housing is reliable, strong and made of environmentally friendly materials. At present, many are leaning towards wooden buildings, and even take a direct part in the creation of the house. Yes, you certainly may get by with a simpler option and buy a ready-made house from, but here it will no longer be possible to influence its design, quality and service life.

Therefore, built almost always meets the needs of the consumer. Well, a certain number of logs have already been purchased and there is a dispute about what is still better to saw a tree. For these purposes, mini is perfect. At an affordable price, she can easily cut all the necessary material for building a house. This design is easy to manage, has small dimensions and does not lose ground to more expensive and professional construction tools, but on the contrary greatly simplifies production work.

Mini band sawmill has incredible reliability, functionality and durability. Moreover, it will pay off in a few months due to its improved performance. This machine is very unpretentious in grooming, does not occupy a large area and can work around the clock all the time, while consuming a minimum of electricity. He makes only high-quality boards and bars.

A mini sawmill will be an excellent device for starting a woodworking production or self erection wooden cottage. Today, many people build and repair wooden buildings with their own hands. In order to quickly and efficiently process a tree trunk, you need to use a sawmill. In this article we will talk about how to make a mini sawmill.

DIY mini sawmill

For domestic purposes, it is much more profitable to make a small sawmill with your own hands.

Advantages of self-production:

  • low material costs
  • creation of a design that fully meets your requirements, features of operation
  • the components that you need for such a device can be found in any specialized store.

Of course, creating a device at the level of factory devices, for example, Murka, Kostroma, or Logosol, at home will not work. But a simple, both mobile and stationary, sawmill can be created by any master.

When creating a mini sawmill, be sure to consider the following points:

  • you need to determine the performance of your device. Unfortunately, homemade devices have poor performance. In order to calculate productivity, you need to determine the amount of wood that you need to process
  • workpiece dimensions to be processed
  • transportation. A mobile sawmill is more convenient because it is easy to move for use in different areas of the home.
  • battery. Factory machines need power from three-phase network at 380 V. However, for homemade tool 220 V is enough. For a sawmill, it is worth allocating a separate machine for 220 V. Thus, there will be no problems with other 220 V sockets. It is better to refuse to use extension cords
  • type of compact sawmill being created - disk, band or tire.

Mini sawmill, video

Take a look at Murka and PD 2000 as an example. Such devices are in great demand in woodworking industries. They are simple, have high performance, and also do not cause problems when creating with your own hands. The design is based on a circular saw that can be mounted on the motor axis or spindle shaft.

To create the simplest model, you will need a shaft, a table, an engine and a circular saw. The main element of the design can be called a table. It is created from metal frame, which is connected by welding and fixing bolts. On top of the table is a steel plate. In such a plate, there are necessarily holes that firmly fix the circular saw. It is in them that the cutting element is inserted. During the installation of the saw, you need to ensure that it is located in the middle of the file.

At the heart of the design there are such main elements:

  • machine frame. It is the most important because it holds all the equipment equipment. Reliability, durability and safety directly depend on the frame. Dimensions are selected individually, according to the needs of woodworking
  • power unit. Without a drive, of course, the sawmill will not work. Suitable for home use three-phase motor, he needs a power supply of 380 volts. However, you can use a gasoline engine. Power supply from 220 V is not suitable in this case, because the power parameters are very low. The minimum power parameter is 3 kW
  • fastener elements. With the help of stationary components, you can cut by fixing the workpiece on them. Dimensions of hardware are selected according to the parameters of the processed workpieces
  • tire. Usually the tire is 50 cm. Best Option is its purchase together with the chain. Thus, the thickness of the cut is minimized, and therefore, reduce the amount of waste
  • cutting element.

The metal frame must be connected to the sawmill bus. The gap between the frame and the tire is the size of the workpieces being processed, so the mini sawmill drawing should include this moment. If you wish, you can make this interval customizable. Such a useful addition will make it possible to process a variety of workpieces.

On the basis, you need to create guides along which the workpiece will move. To mount the base to the racks, you need to weld plates with drilled holes. After installation is completed, it is worth fixing the position with nuts and bolts.

When making a homemade sawmill, be sure to remember about safety precautions. See how a mini sawmill is done correctly, the video of this process is presented below.

Band sawmills are the best at cutting boards. There are several methods for creating such a device. The driving force of such devices can be both electric and gasoline engines. It makes no sense to describe in detail a certain home-made design with specific parameters, because each master takes into account both the “scale” of such production and the availability of free space.

We will describe the general manufacturing procedure:

  • room. Experienced craftsmen advise for comfortable work with a log to choose a room for a workshop of at least 18 m2, for example 6 x 3 m
  • the saw is stationary during operation. The workpiece is placed on a special movable frame (trolley) and moved by hand. For this reason, it is necessary to mount a metal frame to fix the saw. Under it are placed "rails" from the corner, along which the trolley with the workpiece moves. The cut is carried out in a horizontal plane. It is necessary to provide for a change in the height of the saw during the “dissolution” of the workpiece onto the boards. To do this, the frame is equipped with a special system that functions on the principle of a clamp, for example, a “lead” screw or something similar.
  • as a base, you can take a metal corner or more serious structures, such as an I-beam or a channel. It is necessary to take care of the rigid fixation of this frame to the installation site, because during operation it will be subject to high dynamic loads. Pay the main attention to the evenness and horizontality of the upper beams - guides. The gap between the guides should be larger than the diameter of the largest log you are going to work with, approximately 50 - 70 cm
  • regardless of the thickness of the workpiece, it must be firmly fixed on the trolley. Attach the wheels to the bottom.

These are perhaps the most significant steps in creating a sawmill that you will encounter during its installation.

The disadvantages of homemade sawmills include:

  • setup difficulties. Adjustments must be made continuously.
  • wide kerf, which means a high percentage of waste
  • the radius of waste scattering is quite significant
  • not high capabilities of the equipment, both in terms of the dimensions of the logs, and in terms of the time of continuous operation of the mechanisms.

In 2009, the Astron-9.01mini band sawmill was developed and put into mass production. This mini-band sawmill allows you to cut logs of any species into edged and unedged boards. First of all, it is designed for those who have small volumes, who are just starting a sawmill business, or who are temporarily limited in finances. The payback period for this band sawmill is minimal.
Differences of our mini-sawmill from analogues.

Made from steel sheet by high precision laser cutting machine, the wheels are light in weight, free of wobble and unbalance. A two-row automotive bearing (2108 front hub) is installed in the hub, which does not require adjustments and maintenance.

Roller bearings on other types of sawmills operate at the highest possible speed, which leads to their rapid failure and, as a result, the rollers themselves. The rollers themselves must be hardened, and preferably chrome-plated. Rollers made of ordinary steel are quickly ground into a cone, which leads to the appearance of a wave on the board. The "bearing in a bearing" system used by us works like a planetary gearbox, which reduces the angular velocity by several times and increases the resource several times. The material of the bearing cage is wear-resistant, and in the event of a bearing failure, it can be freely purchased.

High-quality Italian gearboxes with a gear ratio of 1:60 and double-row chains quickly raise and lower the saw frame of the mini band sawmill, which allows you to cut without removing the sawn boards.

With the help of hydraulics, the operator tensions the saw and controls its tension.

With the help of a ruler of the hour type, the operator of the mini band sawmill gets rid of the need to remember and calculate the dimensions of the board. This ruler (unlike the electronic one) works in any frost, you only need to set it to zero at the end of each cut.
Eccentric clamps allow you to fasten the log quickly and securely. Frame frame, welded from thick-walled profile pipe, provides rigidity and reliability to the tape mini-sawmill.
And finally, she's just beautiful. And, as you know, ugly planes do not fly.

To visitors of this page: if you came to this page, it means that you are just going to buy a band sawmill and one of the determining factors for you is the price of a band sawmill, but not a single sawmill will cut if you cannot sharpen and set the saw correctly. Finding good band saw sharpening machines and band saw setting machines can be difficult. But you can find them on our website: band saw sharpeners, and adjustable saws

Mini sawmill
With a weight of ~ 200 kg, it cuts a log with a diameter of 40 cm in 9.5 minutes. At a low price, our minisawmill is not much inferior in performance to more expensive analogues. If you want to buy our Astron-9.01mini band sawmill for your sawmill, then the Astron company guarantees that you will NOT be disappointed with its work. With its small size, simple design and low price, our band saw machine has many useful functions: - mechanical lifting of the traverse, hydraulic tension of the saw, a very convenient ruler of the clock type and, if desired, can be equipped with a mechanical feed.
We will consider the characteristics of band sawmills with the article below.

Do-it-yourself mini sawmill

If there is a need to work with wood for household needs, such as building a house or other objects, then sometimes it makes no sense to buy expensive forestry equipment. Sometimes it is worth buying additional equipment for it. Firstly, because such a need may well turn out to be one-time. In this case, it makes sense to make a tool with your own hands. To do this, of course, you should be well versed in such a technique in order to avoid a number of mistakes. In our article, we will take a closer look at how to make a mini-sawmill of various options.
Disc sawmill

If you need woodworking equipment for your business, then the best choice There will be a sawmill. It is an easy-to-use tool and, if desired, you can make it yourself. Consider how to make a disc sawmill from simple components.

The circular sawmill differs from other types of such tools. First, before you make a sawmill, you should know that the basis of its design is a circular saw. It is mounted either on the machine spindle or directly on the electric motor.
If you know the design scheme of such a sawmill, then you can find ready-made drawings that you can build on. The simplest form, the so-called. "circular" - table, shaft with circular saw driven by an engine.
The basis of the sawmill will be a table, which is made of metal or wooden goats, fixed with a piece of board. The top of the table will be a structure with a size of 200 mm and a thickness of 4 mm, made of metal plates. The plates are fixed with bolts.
Before attaching the top of the table, holes are made in the plates for attaching the saw.
The holes in the base of the table should be countersunk and fastened with screws. The saw itself is attached so that its position is in the middle of the plate structure. It is fixed through holes in the base and plates.
The top of the table is attached to the base with screws and an insert for the saw blade is inserted into the gap between the plates.
The fixing of the thrust bar completes the work.
Such a sawmill will make a longitudinal cut of logs into beams or veneer.

band sawmill

Existing types of woodworking equipment are also available in compact and small sizes. The mini-sawmills themselves are both tape, and for longitudinal sawing of wood, and electric - tire. Tire mini-sawmills can make both longitudinal and diagonal cuts.

If you do not need to achieve such highly technical results, then you can make a mini-sawmill on your own. Because, as usual, the number of workers is limited, and the supply of sawn parts on the tape greatly simplifies the work. Consider how to make a band sawmill from improvised means.

Pulleys with a diameter of no more than 30 cm, usually mounted on combines, are suitable for construction. Before you make a sawmill with your own hands, you can remove similar ones from the Niva combine, for example. It is necessary to grind them down so that after you put the belt on top, it protrudes quite a bit.
You do not need to carry out turning work, because. the design of the sawmill requires a half-inch pipe, which will be put on a larger pipe.
The next stage is the manufacture of rails for feeding the log house. For this, an iron corner, 50 mm in size, is suitable. It is installed with the edge up, so that the wheels do not subsequently wear out.
For the manufacture of sleepers, a profile pipe with dimensions of 25x25 mm is suitable. It is welded to a half-inch pipe, on which log fasteners were previously put on. Fasteners must be movable so that they tilt to the sides. Clamping is achieved by a precise hammer blow, which gives "self-locking".
The profile tubes are positioned so that they protrude beyond the rails. Adjustment bolts are put on these protrusions. On the pipes themselves, the so-called. "bridges", the distance between which is 50 cm. It is on them that the log will be located.
The pulleys are welded to the surface of the tubes and fixed with bolts in such a way that the structure is mobile and can change position along the guide tubes.
The right pulley will be tensioned by a spring. A spring from a shock absorber, such as a motorcycle, may be suitable. The left pulley, on the contrary, is fixed and can only change position by changing the size of the saw.
The final stage is the manufacture of the frame. To do this, you can use a channel with a size of 1.5 m. It may not be fixed very tightly and therefore slightly change position, but this will not affect the cut.

Chainsaw sawmill

Also one of the most common tools is a chainsaw. Almost everyone has it, and is indispensable when working with wood. You can also improve it in woodworking equipment. Consider how to make a sawmill from a chainsaw.

For the frame, usually two channels are taken with dimensions of 140-180 mm in height and 8 m in length.
Holes with a diameter of 14-16 mm are made along the length of the base at a distance of 1.5 m from one another. The distance from the ends to the extreme points of the base should be 80-100 mm.
According to the number of holes, the corresponding number of metal ties is taken. For this, pipe sections are suitable. The tie should be 25 cm long and connected with bolts.
The stand for the base of the sawmill is made of metal corners measuring 50x100mm. One of the main requirements for how to make a homemade sawmill is that the corners must be turned “sole” up.
For the cart, a steel plate 60 cm in size and 6 cm thick is taken. In order for the plate to be movable, a 4x4 cm corner is welded to its base from below, and the cart is placed on bearings or roller wheels.
The chainsaw itself is fixed on two metal corners welded on top.
To fix the log, pipes with a diameter of 40 mm and hoses are used, which are fixed on the pipe at the desired height. Now the sawmill is ready for operation.

One of the main points of working with any kind of sawmills is necessarily a flat place for their location. Otherwise, the logs may not be properly fixed, and their feed will be uneven, which will affect the quality of the cut. Therefore, make sure that the place on the site allotted for such work is as even as possible. It is best if you have the opportunity to fill the desired space with concrete and level it. Then the design of the sawmill will be fixed.

Homemade sawmills can also have frequent breakdowns, so it is worth having a number of spare parts and understanding the design of the mechanism. In this case, the tool assembled by your hands will last you as long as possible.

Band sawmill: selection criteria

In Russia, we use three types of sawmills: band sawmills, frame sawmills, and circular sawmills.

Let's take a closer look at each of these three types.

Band sawmills are vertical, horizontal, or with the location of the band saw at an angle. Installations using tapes up to 40 mm wide are, as a rule, relatively inexpensive and small-sized. These sawmills are the most popular among the consumer. Maintenance of saws is reduced to timely sharpening and periodic setting of teeth. The performance of these operations does not require special qualifications of personnel.

Band sawmill SLP - horizontal with the location of the band saw machine at an angle of 10º to the plane of the log, which reduces the load on the saw during sawing, increases the speed of movement of the saw mechanism, and eliminates the wave even at the beginning of the cut. This allows you to get export quality lumber.

It is easy to see the advantage of the SLP band sawmill over the circular saw machine in terms of product output. The sawmill produces high-quality lumber of exact dimensions, not sawdust. You get more boards from each log with less energy and effort.

When buying a band saw with a band width of more than 60 mm, a more serious approach to preparing the room for work is required. The band saws themselves are produced with carbide tips, which implies that the personnel have special training and qualifications, because in addition to sharpening with such saws, periodic rolling of the blade on special equipment is necessary. All band sawmills are made in such a way that the cutting width on them is 0.9-2.6 mm, i.e., sawdust is obtained at a minimum.

A necessary condition for working on a band sawmill is to change the tape every 2.5 hours, regardless of whether it is dull or not. One tape with normal care (on time and correctly sharpened and set) processes up to 60 - 80 cubic meters of sawlogs.

Frame sawmills R-50, R-63 have a high energy consumption, require a massive foundation, produce a large amount of waste, the need to sort sawlogs by diameter. As a rule, on the basis of this equipment, stationary sawmill complexes are created with access roads equipped with lifting mechanisms, sorting yards occupying a large area, powerful log haulers, sorting yards for sorting and packaging finished products, equipment for removal, temporary storage and disposal of waste. Thus, these complexes require serious financial investments to complete the sawmill site with the necessary additional equipment for the smooth operation of production.

Circular sawmills have a sufficiently high productivity, there is no need for a massive foundation, there is the possibility of individual cutting of each log. Unfortunately, the question arises of the need to dispose of waste, since the cutting width of circular saws is 6-7 mm, so a large amount of sawdust is formed, as with frame saws.

To decide which machine to use in your production, you need to approach this from an economic point of view: how quickly it can pay off, what raw materials will be used, what diameter logs will be sawn. Depending on this, equipment should be selected.

If you intend to use raw materials 50-70cm in diameter, then you can use a band saw. But for sawing logs with a diameter of up to 900 - 1200 mm, it would make sense to choose the Grizzly sawmill, Ts2UBS1. If you are going to saw oak, then I will never advise you a circular saw, because this is an expensive raw material, and, as mentioned earlier, a large amount of sawdust is formed when working on circular saws. Circular saws are quite widespread. In northern countries, sawing is most often done on circular saws. They are used for two reasons. Firstly, in winter conditions, the circular saw works so reliably that no other can compare with it. Therefore, Americans, Canadians, Finns, Swedes produce and use mainly these machines. This is due to the harsh winter conditions in which the circular saw is a powerful device that can cut through frozen wood very easily. Secondly, three saws can be operated in a circular saw during the year; they do not require expensive sharpening equipment UZS-2 for maintenance.

The cost of a circular saw depends on its equipment. If it is equipped with additional equipment, then its price is higher. A good machine is assembled from those components that are of better quality, and not from those that are cheaper.

Thus, in order to correctly determine what exactly you need, which option will be the most optimal for your production, you need to calculate all the pros and cons, income and expenses, take into account all the circumstances under which your production will develop and then make the only right choice.
Business ideas - mini sawmill
If you are planning to open your own sawmill, then now is the right time for this. The equipment is not so expensive compared to 2008, especially if you find a used one. in fair condition, and the construction industry began to revive and, as a result, the number of orders is growing. Let's figure out what you need to open your own sawmill and make a profit.

Production nuances
Band sawmill astron price
remember one important point: after processing a certain amount of raw materials at the sawmill, exactly half of the finished product is obtained. We can do some simple calculations. A cubic meter of raw logs (our raw material) can now be purchased at a price of $ 64.5 (approximately - it all depends on the exchange rate). We sell our products (board, eurolining) at a price of about $ 162. That is, in principle, profitability can be reached with the processing of 500 cubic meters of wood per month. And only production that processes at least 700 cubic meters of wood will start to give real profit.
It is also possible to increase the profitability of production. How? It's simple - saving money from the fund wages. Usually, in such production, workers are not determined a fixed wage, but are paid piecework, that is, for each sawn cube of wood. And another very important thing: ask if deforestation is legal in your region, and if they are going to ban it in the near future.

Equipment costs, and how to organize production

In order to start working, you will need a large area - at least 30 acres. In this area we place:
1) a place for a sawmill;
2) a warehouse for raw materials (half a month's supply should fit there);
3) a warehouse for finished products (the calculation is the same);
4) access roads;
5) a canopy in case of unforeseen weather conditions.

Now about the prices. For the domestic sawmill "Taiga" will have to pay from 109 thousand rubles. Moreover, this price is “from” - other models of this range of equipment are much more expensive! But market luminaries advise buying used Finnish equipment or equipment from other manufacturing countries, but not domestic, for the same money.

How to choose a sawmill

Keep in mind that boards prepared at a bad sawmill will never go to the windows. Often, poorly processed boards generally remain illiquid, and the price of such boards is no higher than for raw materials. That is, the better the boards are processed on the machine, the higher the price will be. And the quality of processing directly depends on the capabilities of the sawmill machine itself. The following are the points that you need to pay attention to when choosing a sawmill.

The portal must have reinforcing elements, otherwise, without them, the portal will deform under load. The portal must be made of a pipe having a square section.

Vertical guides

To avoid deformation, they must be made of solid metal (not tubes!) and very well polished.

Pulley and rollers

The rollers must have many settings, and the pulley must be at least 500 mm in diameter!

Types of machines for sawmills

For small businesses, the following types of machines are useful.

1. Band sawmill. Advantages: a small amount of waste, efficiency, low cost (payback in 3 months). Disadvantages: the need to replace the saw blade every three hours.

2. Frame machine. Advantages: this machine is able to process large volumes of raw materials. Disadvantages: gives a huge waste in the form of chips (and it must be disposed of), high power consumption, and for this machine it is necessary to build a foundation.

3. Mini-sawmills and disk. Advantages: suitable for the smallest business, suitable for home use. Disadvantages: different nozzles are needed for different work, and they are bought separately.

How to build a canopy

Above the sawmill must be a canopy. A tape frame measuring 8 by 2, 2 by 2, 4 meters will require a room of 10 by 12 meters, as a minimum. Height - 5 meters, if the logs are supposed to be loaded with a beam crane. One wall should be solid from below - it is more convenient to choose sawdust, and the other wall will be open - it is convenient to roll logs from the overpass. By the way, construction should begin with a flyover, and only then, to the flyover, attach a canopy. So that there is order in the workshop, and the work goes quickly under the “slabs” they make “shifters”. And in general, it is necessary to calculate the movements around the workshop as much as possible - this helps to increase productivity and reduce injuries. The floors in the canopy should be flat, without any steps, made of wood or concrete. To avoid industrial injuries, workers must work with logs with special hand turntables. And make sure that the workers have a separate change house and a separate insulated toilet.

Clarifications

You will have to pay not only the bills for the consumed electricity (the power of the sawmill is 50 kW) and pay a one-time connection. It costs about 32 thousand $! Lots of! But this can be avoided if you purchase a ready-made business in the online store.

How else to save

Sawdust is burned in ovens - drying is heated. They buy forest plots in their region - raw materials "on the vine" are much cheaper!

But resorting to such savings options, you should make accurate calculations and think carefully: is it worth getting involved with such dubious savings - after all, you will also spend a lot of time and effort. Conclusion: if this business attracts you, then the crisis is the best moment to enter the woodworking market at the lowest cost, and the sawmill becomes a successful investment project.

Minisawmills - useful information
Tire mini sawmill
Not so long ago, in the sawmill equipment market, the concept was like a “tire mini sawmill”. Now minisawmills are very popular and are widely represented by different manufacturers. What is their uniqueness and peculiarity?

Modern technologies in the woodworking industry
The achievements of the age of modern technology make it possible that it is not necessary to deliver the sawn wood to stationary sawmills, today the range of mobile sawmills is so wide that they can be taken to the forest yourself and make the necessary timber blanks on the spot, which will save you from unnecessary costs.

Production culture and high tech in the modern woodworking industry
Since the time when a person began to use wood in his life, he has been constantly working on improving devices for processing it. Today, the hand saws that were once used are practically gone yesterday, and they have been replaced by more advanced and convenient devices, such as tire and circular sawmills, electric and chainsaws, edge trimmers and multi-saw machines.
The future of woodworking is small businesses
Man is becoming more and more aware of the advantage natural materials before artificial, the popularity of houses and furniture made of wood has increased dramatically. At the same time, the demand for materials also increased, and the need for manufacturers increased commensurately. In modern conditions, small private enterprises engaged in the production and sale of lumber and other products are becoming the most convenient form of production.

Features of tire sawmills
Tire sawmills are characterized by high mobility, light weight and ease of operation. Ease of use tire sawmill due to the quick preparation of the chain for operation and the simplicity of the design.

The principle of operation of the tire sawmill
The operation of a tire sawmill is similar in principle to that of a band sawmill. The log is also fixedly fixed, and the saw carriage with the cutting tool processes the log, moving along the rails. The principle of operation is similar, but the difference lies in the fact that the sawing of wood is performed using a saw chain, which is attached to the tire.

Benefits of a mini sawmill
One of the main advantages of a minisawmill is its mobility. You can take it with you to the forest and to the country. Thus, you only have to cut the tree into beams, planks or boards.

How to open a sawmill
The tree is considered one of the highest quality building materials, and therefore sawmills, woodworking shops and sawmills are increasingly appearing. In order to build a sawmill, you should read a lot of books and a variety of specialized literature, but we have a more effective and proven way - to choose the most suitable mini-tire sawmill from the catalogs in accordance with the previously drawn up business plan.

Distinctive features of chain sawmill Murka M2
Price mini sawmill
Electric sawmill Murka M2 has a number of advantages over cheaper analogues:

Rail track. On such equipment (mini sawmills), the rail track is mainly made of metal corner. At our sawmill, it is made of a much more durable channel, similar to band sawmills.
Timber fastening. Convenient log fasteners and clamps are more reliable than analogues and even more reliable than similar units on some more industrial band sawmills.
Support and side rollers. Fastening the saw frame to the rail track by several types of support and side pressure rollers prevents the sawmill legs from “jumping” when moving it along the rails.
Steel construction. Robust steel construction provides precise cutting geometry.
Log loading. There is no need to raise the log to the level of 70 cm, as is done on some of our competitors' models. The log rolls up to a level of 20 cm directly from the rolls.
Performance. The cutting tool allows you to cut logs in both directions, thereby reducing the time for complete sawing of the log.

Astron Band mini-sawmill 9.01

In 2009, the band sawmill Astron-9.01mini was developed and put into mass production. This mini-band sawmill allows you to cut logs of any species into edged and unedged boards. First of all, it is designed for those who have small volumes, who are just starting a sawmill business, or who are temporarily limited in finances. The payback period of this mini band sawmill is minimal. The petrol version allows you to cut where it is convenient for you. The minimum weight allows it to be transported on a Gazelle or a light trailer.

With the help of a ruler of the hour type, the operator of the band mini-sawmill gets rid of the need to remember and calculate the dimensions of the board. This ruler (unlike the electronic one) works in any frost, you only need to set it to zero at the end of each cut.
Eccentric clamps allow you to fasten the log quickly and securely. The frame frame, welded from a thick-walled profile pipe, provides rigidity and reliability to the mini band sawmill.

With its small size, simple design and low price, our band saw has many useful features: electro-mechanical traverse lifting, hydraulic saw tension, a very convenient dial gauge and, if desired, can be equipped with a mechanical feed.

Mini band sawmill

mini sawmill belt type allows you to cut any wood, any breed. On the modern market There are quite a few different models of this device.
Mini Band Sawmill The highest quality and most convenient mini band sawmill is considered to be the device of the domestic brand "Astron". With the help of such a sawmill, you can saw any logs, resulting in edged and unedged boards. The mini sawmill format is best suited for those who plan to work with small volumes of wood. For example, a mini sawmill will be an excellent choice for those who are going to open a sawmill business from scratch. Electric mini sawmills

Such a device is very beneficial in many respects. A mini sawmill is cheaper than a regular sawmill. Thus, you can purchase it if you are temporarily limited in financial spending. In addition, such a purchase becomes profitable due to the minimum payback period. Another undoubted advantage is excellent technical and operational characteristics.

The convenience of using a small sawmill is provided mainly by its wheels. They are produced from high quality steel sheet by laser cutting machine. The use of laser equipment in the manufacture of sawmills ensures high accuracy. The wheels are light, in the process of work they do not warp, they do not knock. For specialists, these characteristics are very important.

In addition, mini-sawmills, as a rule, are equipped with high-quality Italian-made gearboxes (for example, for Astron). Thanks to the double-row chains that mini band sawmills have, these devices are able to quickly raise and lower the saw frame. This, in turn, makes it possible to cut a tree without removing the sawn boards.

The tire sawmill (or as it is also called the chain sawmill) in its principle of operation resembles the operation of a band sawmill. In the process of processing a log, it itself lies motionless, and the cut is carried out using a saw mounted on a moving carriage. Unlike a band sawmill, the design of a tire sawmill includes not a band saw, but a chain saw. By the way, if necessary, you can make a sawmill of such a plan yourself - it will be more economical than buying a mini sawmill in a store.

Tire sawmills "Murka" are intended mainly for cutting round timber into boards, timber. These sawmills can be easily installed even in an unsuitable area, right in a clearing in the forest, where there is no power supply at all.

DIY band sawmill

The idea of a band sawmill is homemade: this rail design is convenient and versatile, and it has been time-tested. The basis of the frame of our sawmill is two steel channels 8 meters long and 140 ... ISO mm high. For the same purpose, you can use two rails, turning them upside down, or corners 50 X100 mm. The blanks must be perfectly straight. At the same distance in height and with a step of approximately 1 ... 1.5 meters, a series of holes of 14 ... 16 mm is drilled along the entire length of the channels. According to the number of holes obtained, screeds are made - segments of a 3/4 water pipe 250 mm long.

To connect the ties with the channels, bopts or threaded studs with a length of 290-340 mm are used, depending on the selected materials. The assembled guides are mounted on racks, drilled or assembled on M12 bolts from angles, pipes or channels. The number of racks is determined by the length of the frame; in the described variant, with a length of 8 meters, there are 4 of them. The end posts are at a distance of 800-1000 mm from the ends of the guides. To give the frame the necessary rigidity, braces are placed. Due to the rather solid weight of the frame, it should be assembled directly at the site of the future installation. To ensure the horizontality of the guides, bars, boards are placed under the racks, and where necessary, soil is dug up
The next node of the "sawmill" is a movable cart. It is made of steel plate 4-6 mm thick. The length of the trolley is approximately 600 mm (this depends on the dimensions of the electric motor used, and the width should be such that the edges of the trolley protrude beyond the recessed channels by about UP to mm on each side. By choosing the thickness of the gaskets and clamping plates, the trolley is provided with the possibility of free movement along the entire length of the guides. At the same time, it is necessary to ensure that the gap is minimal. The thickness of the gasket package should be 0.5 mm more than the thickness of the channel flange. Gaskets and clamping plates are tightened with eight M8 bolts. To eliminate transverse play from below to the base, those bogies are bolted corner 40 X X 40 mm.You can put the trolley on rollers or bearings (for example, as in Chmykhalov's design). There are two welded corners on the trolley for mounting the electric motor.

To move the trolley with the engine and circular saw installed on it, a chain is used (I used from a combine. It must be taut to prevent free play of the steering wheel. The latter is mounted on one of the nine bushings at the front sprockets located along the edges of the guides.
Convenience in work is provided by devices for fixing the processed log. They are made from pipes with an internal diameter of approximately 35..40 mm, into which movable rods are freely inserted, which are locked at the desired height with an M8 screw. On top of the bars there are clamps (from a 40X40 mm corner) and cam clamping mechanisms. The length of the clamps relative to the distance to the cutting line must be at least 15 mm.

Of course, the heart of any svnkv is the engine and the saw. I was lucky enough to purchase an electric motor with a power of 10 kW and a saw with a diameter of 1 meter: it was for them that the whole structure was made. But don't be upset if you can't get similar units - make the frame smaller, commensurate its gvbv-rit with the available components.
It is not difficult to work on the mill: the log is laid on the bed and fixed with clamps; turning on the electric motor and turning the steering wheel, we move the trolley, making a smooth and long cut with the saw. You can move the cart both in one direction and in the other direction. You just need to make sure that the saw is always sharp, and, of course, follow the safety rules.

On such a sawmill you can get timber, planks, boards and
rails of almost any size. If you put a stack of planks or boards and drive the saw through, you will get several excellent edged boards of the same size in 3a couple of minutes.
