Makita plunge saws. Makita SP6000 Submersible Circular Saw Overview of Makita SP6000 Circular Saw

So, as promised, a brief review of the Makita SP 6000 saw.

I looked at her for a long time, no, not like that ...

For a long time I crushed the toad in myself, I need it - I don’t need it, etc.

In principle, I order all the cuts at the factory, so I didn’t need a saw to cut chipboard. But due to some perverse inclinations when creating furniture, namely bent elements from MDF, I needed a saw.

Of course, you can buy postforming and not bathe, rot to your health and glue on the matrix.

But postforming turns out to be too dry in most offices (it tans in their warehouses) and bending small radii from it is not an option at all.

Plus, the last assembly of the chest of drawers required making additions to the design right along the way, which required a saw. And this was the last straw that overpowered the scales in the direction of buying.

I ordered it and went to pick it up, plus I immediately took a 1,400 mm guide rail to it.

Do not take clamps, complete garbage. You can apply them only along the edges of the tire, and for this you need a table of exactly 1.4 meters. I fastened through wooden blocks with ordinary clamps.

So what else?

Why Makita? Well, DeWalt is the same more expensive, plus there is an ambush with guides, in short supply. For prices it turned out like this, I give in dollars so that people do not break their heads, otherwise the team here is international)))

12 560 rubles ($351.6),

DeWALT DWS520K 15 600 rubles ($436.7)

BOSCH GKT 55 GCE Proffessional 16 364 rubles (458$)

Bosch is more powerful, but the Egger saw cuts very calmly, so Makita has enough power. Well, I think no one needs to explain why Festul is not present in the review. Furniture is a hobby for me and nothing more.

Although a hobby and sometimes bringing money)))

Actually a box.

The saw was made in England, which could not but please.

Yes, I drank.

It weighs quite a bit, just over 4 kg.

This is a guide bar. 1400 mm.

Anti-slip strips on the back and an anti-splinter strip on the right.

It's a saw on a tire.

The blue latch holds the saw down and prevents it from tipping over when sawing at an angle.

And two black lambs remove the longitudinal play when the saw moves along the ruler.

These are cutting angle adjustments, up to 47 degrees.

This is the depth of cut, in my opinion 56 mm.

And now he cut with a saw.

I strongly advise against sawing without a vacuum cleaner, you will get nano-dust.

And then go through the entire part again to full depth.

More from a little experience. The saw must be positioned so that you plunge it to the depth of the cut to the very detail and then lead to the detail and cut it. After cutting off the part, do not raise the saw, but move on until the cut part is finished. Otherwise, you will get baked rings from the saw at the ends of the part. Not scary, but not pretty.

It's just these 2-3 mm preliminary cut.

Material Egger 16 mm.

On the right you can see the exit of the saw. This is not what you can do!!!

And this is already a sawn off bar. The sidewall is simply polished.

What is the result.

The saw cuts chipboard easily. But to be honest, you need to use it for cutting only in the workshop, where it will stand on a workbench and you won’t have to carry it anywhere.

I took it for occasional use because to put supports under the tire, expose all this, etc. very annoying and time consuming. But if necessary, she cuts wonderfully.

Thanks to all!

Makita SP6000 is a plunge saw for professional applications. Depending on the installed disc, it works with wood, plywood, chipboard and MDF, laminate, composite materials, plastic, agglomerates (artificial stone).

The advantage of a plunge-cut saw lies in the principle of its operation. In saws of this type, the saw blade is located at the top of the tool and goes down only at the time of work.

This design feature allows you to cut into the work surface at any point. That is, it is not necessary to start sawing from the edge, as is done in conventional circular saws.

The makita SP6000 plunge saw is designed for straight cutting and is widely used for rip and cross cuts, plunge cuts and grooving. The base tilt function allows for bevel cuts as well as edge trimming.

The SP6000 circular saw is indispensable for major repairs, carpentry, installation of mortise and overhead sinks in the countertop, built-in household appliances etc.

An important property of this saw is the quality result of the cut. High power and smooth start ensure clean and neat cut lines.

The maximum result is obtained using guides that securely fix the saw relative to the workpiece being processed.

To prevent tipping of the tool, especially when used in an inclined position, a slider clasp is provided in the design of the base of the saw.

The Makita SP6000SET saw is equipped with a 2mm depth stop for marking cuts. Pre-cutting with a depth of 2mm allows you to get the cleanest edge without chips and burrs. The function is used when working with a guide.

To select the immersion depth, there is a scale with a lock that allows you to set values with an accuracy of 1 mm. The maximum depth of vertical processing is 56mm, at an inclination of 45 degrees - 40mm, 48 degrees - 38mm.

Makita SP6000 can cut at an angle with an inclination to the right up to 48 degrees, which allows you to cut the material at the right angle, as well as finish the ends of the workpieces. Also, the saw can tilt to the opposite (left) side by 1 degree.

For convenient and quick setting of the required angle of inclination of the saw, there are a number of clamps with positions of 22.5, 45, 48 and -1 degrees.

There are quick tilt levers to select from 45, 48 and -1 degrees.

The narrow casing of the SP6000 plunge-cut saw allows you to work close to walls at a distance of 18mm.

The safety of the plunge-cut saw is ensured by electronic and mechanical systems. There is a function of engine braking when the saw is jammed in the workpiece, overheating protection (the fuse turns off the tool during overload), blocking against accidental switching on and double insulation.

Makita SP6000 SET is equipped with modern electronic systems that are responsible for stabilizing the engine speed, smooth start and adjusting the disk rotation speed.

The speed of the plunge saw can be adjusted from 2000 to 5200 rpm. For this, a rotary control with a scale from 1 to 6 is provided.

In addition, the plunge saw is no less comfortable to use. In the design - two ergonomic handles with a soft coating, a compartment in the upper handle for storing a hexagon, clear scales with risks, external access to the brushes, understandable controls.

Replacing a disk is as simple as possible and is performed in three steps. To replace, it is necessary to activate the unlock button and turn the locking lever, lower the handle and with the shaft fixed, using the hexagon, unscrew the fixing bolt.

SP6000 is equipped with a dust extraction system. The dust outlet is located in the opposite direction of saw movement. It is possible to connect construction vacuum cleaner, as well as their synchronous operation.

The makita SP6000SET plunge-cut circular saw works with discs from 5200 min-1.
