If your work is far from numbers and reports, but is connected, for example, with needlework or craftsmanship, free up the maximum amount of space on the floor. A very correct solution would be to install shelves on the walls (at a distance from the floor) - for example, put a sofa, and attach shelves next to it. So you can make the most convenient and efficient use of the workspace.

Today it is fashionable to use the balcony as a place for sports. Of course, there can be no talk of its moving types, but, for example, yoga, meditation or exercise on simulators are quite suitable.

How to do it yourself?

Making a balcony sofa yourself is not so difficult. The main thing is to clearly follow all the instructions and be careful. A homemade sofa will definitely suit you and yours appearance, and size, because the height, width of the balcony will be taken into account.

So, here is what you will need to do.

First, measure the dimensions of the balcony and the approximate dimensions of the sofa, think about how it will be placed on the plane. If necessary, draw or create a layout.
As a material for the manufacture of the frame, it is best to use natural boards. They are stronger and easier to work with. You can take a ready-made euro pallet, a sheet of plywood or chipboard. They should be dense enough (at least ten millimeters) so that they do not deteriorate later from frequent friction.
Cut the sheet to the dimensions you have outlined, and connect the boards with self-tapping screws or special furniture studs (using a drill). For fastening, you will also need furniture corners. In the same way, fasten the plywood sheet to the frame, in place of the seat and back. They need to be overlaid with foam rubber, and then do the finishing - decorate with fabric, leather, or add another layer of pillows. It is best to do this with a furniture stapler. You can just overlay the frame sofa cushions on which you will be comfortable to sit. So you don’t need to suffer with a stapler, and it’s easy to wash.

To make a folding sofa, you will need a special folding design. These are available at any hardware store. For your own convenience, you can attach wheels to the sofa.
If you want to equip the sofa with drawers, then you need to attach the seat to the frame like a door to the wall. Use special loops for this. Then the bottom should be empty, it is best to sheathe it with an insulator, cloth or film. There you can put several baskets for storing things.
