Therefore, you can go from it along the coast in two directions - on the left hand along the bay there are Belek, Side and Alanya replacing each other (I don’t know these places), and on the other - something called the general word Kemer, but which is a mini - an agglomeration of six resort villages (Beldibi, Goynuk, Kemer itself, Kirish, Chamyuva and Tekirova).

2. These places are extremely similar to the southern coast of Crimea - so similar to the Crimean Taurus Mountains and forests on the slopes. The highest point here is Mount Tahtali (2365 m, the cable car station is clearly visible at the top).

3. The story will be about Camyuve- the most quiet and deaf of all the local resort places (except, perhaps, Tekirova).

Having understood this quickly enough, it is necessary to draw the right conclusions - organize entertainment for yourself. Yes, this is not always possible, but you will not endlessly wait for lagging Zassans and spend your vacation dragging around shops.

History of Camyuva

For the curious, let's tell the history of this area. Until 1944, the village of Chamyuva was not on the map of the Kemer region, there was only the village of Ava (Ağva), the name of which came from the stream of the same name. In Italian Ağva means water. In 1961, in accordance with the law, non-Turkish names were changed and the village became known as Çamyuva. Çamyuva gained self-government in 1992, and the first local municipality elections were held in 1994.

Çamyuva consists of three neighborhoods (mahalle). These are Central District (Bunlar Merkez Mahallesi), Uzunchynar District (Uzunçınar Mahallesi) and Sarıör Mahallesi. The territory of Camyuva is 2,000,000 sq. meters or 2 square kilometers. The permanent population is 10,000, and during the summer season the number of inhabitants rises to 30,000.

The sights of Camyuva can be safely attributed to the nearby famous mountain Tahtali. The full name is Tahtalidag (Tahtalı Dağları). This is the largest and most beautiful peak in the Western Taurus mountain system in the area. It is located on the territory national park Olympos was previously called Olympos. The height of Tahtala above sea level is 2365 m. From November to June, the mountain is covered with snow and ice, the volumes of which are especially large from January to April. The Olympos Teleferik cable car has been stretched to the top of Tahtala, which has been transporting tourists since 2007. LOCATION

Camyuva is located 8 km south of Kemer and 60 km southwest of Antalya on the Mediterranean coast framed by the Taurus Mountains. Camyuva - perfect place for a relaxing holiday away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Translated from Turkish, Çamyuva means "pine nest" and, in fact, Camyuva is surrounded by pine forests, so the air here is very clean. On the eastern side, the border of the village runs along the mouth of the small river Agva, which flows into the Mediterranean Sea. The river rather resembles a small stream, and in summer it dries up almost completely. On the other side of the river there is a neighboring resort - the village of Kirish. From the west, the village is framed by the Taurus Mountains and here Chamyuva borders on an open-air museum - the ruins of the ancient city of Phaselis.
The development of Chamyuva as a resort village began not so long ago, in the 90s of the 20th century, when Kemer and its environs first attracted European and then Russian-speaking tourists. It was then that the construction of 4 and 5 star hotels operating on an all-inclusive basis began here on the coast. Until that time, Chamyuva was a small local village, whose inhabitants were engaged in the cultivation of orange and tangerine trees and fishing.
Today, the entire village is divided into 2 parts - a tourist area along the coast, where hotels are located, and a residential area for local residents.

BEACH AND SEA

The beach in Chamyuvam is small-pebbled, almost sandy in places, the entrance to the sea is gentle, so it is very comfortable to relax here with small children. The water in the sea is clear - the sea in Camyuva is considered one of the cleanest on the entire Mediterranean coast, the bottom is translucent even at a distance of 10 meters from the coast. The length of the beach is about 2.5 km.
In the summer, the endangered loggerhead turtles (Caretta caretta) spawn on the beaches in Camyuva. The veterinary service of Kemer, with the help of the gendarmerie, monitors spawning grounds, puts up fences so that tourists do not harm the clutches.

TRANSPORT

There are two types of shuttle buses to Camyuva directly from Antalya: one that enters all the villages adjacent to Kemer and an express bus that goes directly. Buses depart from the Antalya bus station and from a stop in front of the Migros shopping center. You can also take a bus to Camyuva at any stop on Ataturk Boulevard in Konyaalti. Travel time by express bus is from 40 minutes to 1 hour.
