system requirements. Determine the required computer configuration

Types of system requirements

Many developers list 2 types of system requirements for their games:

  1. Minimum system requirements- the most modest set of conditions under which the game can work. We would like to note that sometimes games are played on computers whose system requirements do not even meet the stated minimum requirements. It is impossible not to rejoice, but in such cases no one will give a guarantee that the game will work properly.
  2. Recommended system requirements- a set of conditions under which the game should run without errors and brakes, you can use all its features, including the maximum graphics settings.

Designations in system requirements

The system requirements specify a number of parameters, the meaning of which we will analyze below.

Operating system

The most common operating systems for desktops and laptops are Windows, MacOS. For smartphones, tablets Android, iOS. You should not install the game on the system for which it was not originally created. Will not start.

Attention!

Look at the bitness of the system. For example, on Windows 64 bit, any game with 32 bit requirements will install and work. But on the contrary, a 64-bit game on Windows 32 bit will refuse to work.

CPU

Processor power is measured in gigahertz (Russian designation - GHz, English - GHz). Modern computers now mostly have dual-core processors, or even more cores. Sometimes, in the requirements of the game, the number of cores for the processor is not directly indicated, but the processor family is indicated. For example, i3 3.1 GHz. This means that we are talking about a dual-core processor (Intel Core i3 processors are all dual-core) with a frequency of 3.1 GHz per core.

Most modern processors are 64-bit and support both 32-bit and 64-bit programs (games).

RAM

The amount of RAM is calculated in megabytes (Russian designation - MB, English - MB), or in gigabytes (Russian designation - GB, English - GB).

1GB=1024MB

video card

The requirements for the video card of the computer are simple - the series of video cards on which the game will run is indicated. There are two main developers of graphics cards: NVIDIA (produces GeForce cards) and AMD (produces Radeon). That's why the system requirements specify cards from two manufacturers at once. For example, GeForce 400 Series / Radeon HD 7000. If only a video card from one manufacturer is indicated, then its analogue from another should be searched on the Internet.

DirectX Version

DirectX is a set of mini-programs from Microsoft that allow the game to access the video card, mouse, and other computer devices. Many games still require DirectX 9 to be installed, although many require Direct X10, DirectX 11, or DirectX 12 to be installed as the minimum requirement. Usually, during installation, the game itself prompts you to install the required DirectX. Only in the rarest cases DirectX needs to be downloaded from the Microsoft website.

Attention!

DirectX is designed for Windows operating systems only. For games under Mac OS and other operating systems, you do not need to install it.

Hard disk space

Hard disk space is measured in bytes, or rather, increasingly in megabytes and gigabytes.

1GB=1024MB

1TB=1024GB

You can check free disk space by right-clicking on a disk. In the menu that appears, select "Properties".

Many users before buying Playerunknown's Battlegrounds ask questions, what should be the minimum system requirements for the game to work?

Especially for you, we have prepared an article,. Also, in the process of updating the game and the release of new patches, changes in recommendations are possible. Also, PUBG only supports 64-bit operating systems. For best performance, we recommend installing the game on an SSD drive, this will avoid missing textures in the game (textures are not immersed.)

Minimum and recommended system requirements for Playerunknown's Battlegrounds

For complete clarity, we checked the test on the minimum requirements of PUBG to understand whether the game will really work, and on which video cards the game runs best. To do this, we recreated all the settings the same, both on NVIDEO and on AMD Radeon. At the end of the video card test, we got the following:

Screenshot of nVidia GeForce GTX 660 2GB performance in PUBG:

AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB performance screenshot in PUBG:

As can be seen from the tests, the performance on both video cards sometimes dropped to 0. It also follows that owners of nVidia cards will get more pleasure from the game, because. much higher than AMD. But since the game is updated monthly and some new optimized packs and improvements are added, it is possible that in the near future the game will work more stably.

Will PUBG run on my PC?

If you are still in doubt whether the game will run on your computer, you can leave a comment under the article with the parameters of your PC, and we will tell you whether PUBG will work or not. Also in the article we published links to the optimization of the game, which can really add to your FPS.

We are waiting for your questions.

World of Tanks is one of the most popular online games in the world. Tanks allow millions of people to fight on the best "war chariots" of the middle of the last century, take part in large-scale battles in various locations, upgrade their tactics and team fights.

Like any other game, World of Tanks has computer requirements. This means that a successful launch and a full-fledged gaming experience are possible on computers with a certain amount of power. The minimum system requirements of World of Tanks allow you to run the game on almost any computer, including the "old man". But for those who want to play WOT HD, the system requirements will be slightly higher.

What are system requirements

To begin with, let's deal with the question, what does the term "minimum requirements for tanks" mean? The system requirements of the World of Tanks game are those optimal parameters under which the game will function normally - without crashes and crashes.

Below we will look at the characteristics of World of Tanks, which you can compare with the parameters of your computer. It should be noted that the requirements vary from the minimum necessary to the optimal, that is, desirable. Therefore, those who want to fully enjoy the gameplay should still think about "pumping" their iron friend.

Minimum Settings

The minimum system requirements of WOT are quite loyal, so the tanks will run even on the ancient "calculators". With minimal system requirements, World of Tanks will not surprise users with its graphics, but the application still promises to be stable, and perhaps nothing more is needed for bending.

Minimum requirements for World of Tanks

Processor power 2.4 GHz
RAM 2 GB
video card Video GeForce 9800GT 512 MB
Hard disk space 7 GB
Internet speed 128 Kbps

Here are the minimum requirements for World of Tanks in order for the game to work stably with the most modest graphics settings. However, this is far from the limit, and if you want to check out all the delights of this game, try to get such hardware to provide at least an average level of settings.

Medium settings (optimal)

The recommended system requirements for World of Tanks are those requirements under which the game will work stably at medium graphics settings. Optimal settings are a balance between quality and performance.

The optimal system requirements of World of Tanks are now used by most PC users. Of course, such World of Tanks system requirements for a laptop are also suitable, especially when it comes to relatively new models.

Optimal WOT Requirements

Processor power 3.4 GHz
RAM 4 GB
video card Video GeForce GTX 480 1 GB
Hard disk space 7 GB
Internet speed 128 Kbps

Even the average system requirements of World of Tanks for a computer are not excessive for most users. At the same time, the picture quality at such settings is already close to ideal.

Maximum settings

The maximum system requirements of World of Tanks are only possible for powerful gaming computers, which cost decent money. But the quality of the graphics will be as realistic and detailed as possible.

World of Tanks HD system requirements

Processor power Core i7
RAM 8 GB
video card Video GeForce GTX 760
Hard disk space 20 GB
Internet speed 1024 Kbps

HD are high-resolution textures that will delight players with a very high-quality picture.

As you can see, the technical characteristics of World of Tanks are very flexible. Thanks to the variable graphics settings, you can run the game both on old low-power computers, sacrificing image quality, and on modern machines - enjoying the excellent detailing of tanks and surrounding landscapes.

You should carefully configure the system requirements for the game Tanks so as not to overload the system unit or laptop. Otherwise, the game will not only work poorly, but the hardware will also suffer. Do you think stories about burned-out video cards are just jokes?

Before running tanks at a certain graphical level, take a look at your stats and the three tables above. Compare the parameters and only then get into the settings.

The minimum system requirements of online Tanks are suitable for work computers, because many players are not averse to tanking in their office. Please note that for normal operation, you must set at least 30 FPS - this is the minimum threshold.

It should be taken into account that the wider the monitor screen, the greater the load on the video card. Therefore, if you have a weak PC, you do not need to run tanks on a large monitor.

The requirements for the computer of the World of Tanks do not always correspond to the declared ones, because the developers cannot yet bring the technical part of the game to the ideal, although with each new update they are approaching this value.

The system requirements of the World of Tanks for a PC are somewhat lower than for laptops. Therefore, if you have a choice of what to buy for computer games, always choose a desktop computer.

Android system requirements

Above, we looked at the system requirements for online Tanks on PC, but do not forget about the mobile version, which is becoming more and more popular.

Characteristics of WOT Blitz for Android

Operating system Android 4.0
video chip Mali-400MP
CPU 1200 MHz
Nuclei 2
RAM 1 GB

The presented technical requirements of World of Tanks Blitz are minimal and will ensure stable operation only at the lowest settings. Therefore, to play with better graphics, you will need more powerful gadgets.

Notebook settings

We note right away that the WOT system requirements for a laptop will always be somewhat larger than those of conventional PCs. Therefore, even with exactly the same characteristics as a PC, a laptop will always produce fewer frames per second (FPS).

The average system requirements of World of Tanks X64 for a laptop are not a problem. A good model will allow you to give out 60+ FPS, and maybe a whole hundred, which guarantees the normal operation of the application.

In addition, it should be borne in mind that laptops heat up much more than regular PCs. Therefore, it is worth carefully monitoring the temperature of the modules so that there are no problems with the hardware. To minimize overheating, it is advisable to buy a laptop stand or at least not run the game at maximum performance.

Why are the system requirements different for different versions?

WOT computer requirements may vary on different versions of Windows. The fact is that Windows itself, depending on the version, “eats” a certain amount of computer resources.

So, for example, installing Windows 10 on an already quite old computer, and then tanks, you will not get a stable game. In this case, on the same Windows XP, they will work better.

By the way, for those who wondered: will tanks go to Windows XP? As long as they go. However, do not delay the reinstallation to version 7 and higher.

Video

From our video you will learn many important details about the system requirements of the World of Tanks HD client.

Let's recap what the requirement is:

  • A condition or capability required by a user to solve problems or achieve goals.
  • A condition or capability that a system/component of a system must have in order to comply with contract terms, standards, specifications, or other regulatory documents.
  • Description of the conditions or opportunities listed in the previous paragraphs.
Briefly: a requirement is a fixed desire of the user that the system must fulfill.

This definition is not ideal. Because there are requirements that the user does not explicitly express, for example, the operation of the system in 24/7 mode, or the user expressed some wish, but it was not implemented. Special case: the demand is made orally. In my opinion, if the requirement is not fixed in writing, then it does not exist.

Requirements can be divided into two large groups:

  • functional requirements
  • non-functional requirements

The picture shows both the division of requirements into groups and the documents in which the requirements are recorded.

Functional requirements- what the system should do.

Functional requirements include:

  • Business requirements. What the system should do from a business point of view. The word "business" in this context is closer to the word "customer". An example of a business requirement is a promotional site that draws the attention of a specific audience to a specific product of the company.
  • User requirements - describe the goals/tasks of the users of the system, which must be achieved/performed by users with the help of the created software system. These requirements are often presented in the form of Use Cases. In other words, user requirements are what the user can do: register, view certain information, recalculate data according to a certain algorithm, and so on.
  • Functional requirements - define the functionality (behavior) of a software system that must be created by developers to enable users to perform their duties within the framework of business requirements and in the context of user requirements. In other words, what will developers do to fulfill user requirements.

Functional requirements include system requirements. These characteristics can describe the requirements for both hardware (type and frequency of the processor, amount of RAM, hard disk space) and the software environment (operating system, presence of installed system components and services, etc.). Typically, such requirements are compiled by the manufacturer or author of the software. For example, for a game, these may be requirements of this type: a video card - a memory size of 64 MB, compatibility with DirectX 9.0b and the latest drivers. For the site: OS - Windows not lower than XP, IE browsers not lower than 7.0 and so on.

Why is it important to specify system requirements and approve them with the customer? If you do not specify, for example, that it is important to ensure that the site is viewed in IE 6, then developers may well choose an architectural solution that will not allow the site to display correctly. System requirements directly depend on the target audience of the project.

The second group of requirements is non-functional requirements. In other words, how the system will work and why.

  • Business rules. They determine why the system should work exactly as it is written. These may be references to legislation, internal rules of the customer and other reasons. This section is often overlooked and it turns out that some system solutions look atypical and not at all obvious. For example, many tobacco and alcohol companies require permanent evidence that people over a certain age are using promotional sites. This business rule (age confirmation) arises at the request of the ethical committees of the customer, although it somewhat contradicts marketing goals and usability requirements.
  • external interfaces. These are not only user interfaces, but also protocols for interaction with other systems. For example, sites are often linked to CRM systems. Features of the "site-CRM" interaction protocol also refer to non-functional requirements.
  • quality attributes. Attributes relate to issues of transparency of interaction with other systems, integrity, sustainability, etc. These characteristics include:
    • ease and ease of use (usability)
    • performance
    • ease of use and maintenance (maintainability)
    • reliability and fault tolerance
    • interactions of the system with the outside world (interfaces)
    • scalability
    • requirements for user and software interfaces (user and software interface).
  • Constraints are statements of conditions that modify requirements or sets of requirements, narrowing down the choice of possible solutions for their implementation. In particular, these may include performance parameters that affect the choice of implementation and/or deployment platform (protocols, application servers, databases, ...). Constraints are often based on business rules.

There is still no agreement on the composition of groups of functional and non-functional requirements. Different authors and experts can both add and exclude subgroups of requirements. For example, often constraints are combined with business rules, and business requirements are combined with key needs.

There is an excellent technique that allows you to create high-quality documentation when developing software of arbitrarily large complexity.

All of the above applies only to the discipline "Requirements Management" within the framework of the RUP methodology. Within the framework of GOST and the definition of requirements, other requirements and the requirements themselves are divided into completely different groups.

Which are necessary to determine compatibility with a particular software (programs, games, and so on). Every owner should know the characteristics of their PC. In this article, you will read how to find out the system requirements of your computer.

What is it for?

Many users, especially inexperienced ones, often face problems launching games and programs. This is due to the fact that they do not know the characteristics of their PC, so they cannot determine whether the game will run on them or not. In the standard tools of the Windows operating system, there are many different ways to find out the system requirements of your computer. Let's analyze each in detail.

First way

The simplest method for finding the characteristics of a PC will be considered first. First you need to go to the properties of your computer. Locate the "Computer" shortcut on your desktop and right-click on it. In the context menu, click on "Properties" and open them. A window will appear describing the characteristics of your computer. Here you will find a description of the installed operating system, hardware specifications and an average performance rating.

Since all system requirements for games and programs are indicated in the form of exact characteristics, it is better to pay attention to the "System" section. It contains all the data about the RAM, processor, (which is important) and so on. Now you figured out how to find out the system requirements of your computer in the easiest way. But what is written in the properties is not all the characteristics of a PC. Where can you find the rest?

Second way

To do this, you need the "Device Manager". It contains more detailed information about all installed hardware, as well as drivers and much more. Through it, all elements are controlled - connecting, disconnecting, removing and installing the driver. This method is recommended for more advanced users. In the "Dispatcher" you will find the characteristics of your video card, which are not in the properties of the computer.

Let's figure out how to find out the system requirements of your computer through the above method, go to the "Properties" window. In the left column we find the button "Device Manager". A list with all connected devices will appear in a separate window. In the list, find the item "Video adapters" and look at the name of the graphics card. In the "Properties" you can find the amount of memory, bus width, and so on, which is useful for comparing with the system requirements for games.

How to find out the parameters of your computer in a third way?

To find out absolutely all the information on the video card, you can use the command in the launch line. To do this, click "Run" in Start. In the window that opens, enter dxdiag and confirm. After that, a window will open. Here you will find all the data about the characteristics of the video card, screen parameters, driver, sound card, and so on.

How to find out the system requirements of a computer in third-party ways?

If you need to quickly check the compatibility of your computer with any game, without going into details, then use the site Can You Run It. By logging into it, you will automatically download the plug-in to your computer, which will scan your hardware. On the site, select the desired game from the list and wait. The service will issue a complete table with the results for each component and even advise the optimal graphics quality settings for your hardware. The site saves time and allows you not to delve into the parameters of the PC.
