The best symbols. How to write a VKontakte status in an unusual font

Hi all!

As many people know, I often go to the office and often get bombarded with questions (even those not directly related to my work ☺). And quite often you have to answer questions about inserting various bright and interesting icons and symbols into the text (they cannot be typed on the keyboard, but sometimes you can’t do without them!).

For example, they can be used for a cool nickname in computer games, for a cool status in social networks (VK, Odnoklassniki, etc.), and just copy it to the chat (example, house ⛪️, hand ✌️). And it looks beautiful, and perfectly convey the mood!

In addition, these icons can be used in your texts and documents, on your page and in correspondence. In general, in this article I present the most interesting and best (in my opinion) similar symbols. I hope everyone finds something useful for themselves!

Note: to use the desired character - just select it and copy (you can press Ctrl + C and then paste in another place - Ctrl + V , you can use the right mouse button: copy paste).

Update 01/25/2019

By the way, if you use the modern Windows 10 OS, then inserting emoji into your messages has become very simple now. Press button combination Win+ . - and immediately after that you should have a window with emoji - just select the desired emoticon and paste. Easily!

Symbols for nicknames

The very first idea that comes to mind of any player is to add beautiful characters to your nickname. They can be all sorts of hieroglyphs, icons and even small pictures. The same cs go provides for the use of tens of thousands of additional characters that are contained in special tables. A complete list of them can be found in the Unicode content, which is constantly updated with more and more new characters.

They resort to decorating a nickname with the help of symbols in cases where they specifically want to attract attention to themselves, or simply make a cool nickname. The most important thing in this business is not to overdo it. One or two characters will be enough, just some especially strange personalities like to stuff their nicknames to the eyeballs with icons, which makes them difficult to perceive.

Now let's look at specific characters and suitable cases for their use. In general, the characters in the nickname should underline it, and not hang like a dead weight. Now, if your name is "Thunderbolt", then take and add a lightning symbol to your nickname. It will immediately look more alive and beautiful. For unusual nicknames associated with death, corpses and the like, you can use the symbols of the cross, even the wings, if angels (or birds) slip somewhere in the name.

If you still found the old version of the VKontakte sample of the end of the 2000s, then you can remember how everyone, and who is not lazy, filled in their names / surnames and information on the page with a ton of characters. It looked cool in rare cases, but for the most part at that time there were so many people with badges that it quickly became mainstream and an attribute of a person not too close to the Internet. This moment still takes place in classmates.

Some characters may be displayed in a different color than specified by the game, but the ability to make a colored nickname is far from being present everywhere. For example, in Unicode, you can find an orange fire icon.

Letters for nicknames

There are also a great many letters for nicknames, letters from alphabets other than English and Russian are especially popular. Some Arabic/Chinese text in a nickname will look nice. Even if your nickname will consist entirely of Arabic letters, this will already distinguish you on the Russian server.

There is still a fashion for using nicknames in Steam and Counter-Strike with all sorts of characters around the letters. You have probably seen people with a common nickname like Emperor, but each letter of this word was framed with squiggles, circles and other elements. Such a nickname is loved by those who want to seem cool and not like everyone else.

By the way, with the help of these squiggles, you can “break” the game, since the system allows you to set an unlimited number of dashes for one letter, this gesture is ugly, but you can indulge. Yes, each individual letter can be upgraded with a dash or a small line, and this can be done at least three floors. But you should not get carried away too much so that your nickname is at least visible to the rest.

Emoticons for nicknames

A separate category of symbols for a nickname is emoticons. With the popularization of emoji, Unicode began to introduce their character counterparts. They can be seen in some instant messengers, when someone inserted a regular emoticon into the name of the conversation, and in the messenger on the phone it was reflected as a symbol. It is these smiley symbols that you can use for your nickname.

In games, they are rarely used due to bulkiness and inappropriateness, but you can mark your mood with a smiley in the same Skype in your name every day. You will not need to answer questions about your mood every day, it will be enough to write a smile in your nickname and it's in the bag.

With the help of symbols and emoticons, you can create whole plots in the name. Let's say you draw a couple of Christmas trees, stars and two emoticons there. And the New Year's story is already ready with you and someone else. Again, do not overdo it with this, since the abundance of emoticons in the nickname already looks ugly.

In general, the use of emoticons is only suitable for a certain atmosphere. In the game, they will only interfere, so write them only when necessary.

A complete selection of emoticons from symbols: emoji, Japanese emoticons, classic brackets, ASCII-art. The coolest and most expressive characters! ‿︵‿ヽ(°□°)ノ︵‿︵

In modern writing there are no tools that would quickly display the mood of the author, his emotional state and attitude towards the interlocutor. In literature, writers usually deal with this by expressing thoughts in a few sentences, but in Internet correspondence, where speed is important - in a messenger, on a website, when communicating on social networks, this is extremely impractical. Such a dialogue will be protracted, because each interlocutor will have to think about how he will use certain words, whether the other side will understand him correctly.

And here emoticons ʕ ᵔᴥᵔ ʔ come to the rescue - character sets that display human emotions or visualize some kind of message. They significantly save time and simplify text communication between network users. This advantage will be especially appreciated by those who surf the Internet from portable devices that lose in typing speed to PCs and laptops with a comfortable and practical keyboard.

So, let's look at popular emoticons, the meaning of symbols that can be used in the process of communicating on the network, starting with the most common options and gradually moving on to more “exotic” ones.

The most famous emoticons

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ - , or “pozhimalkin”.

Simple emoticons with text

:-* or :-() - kiss designations in the text version.

() - this emoticon can demonstrate that you want to hug your interlocutor.

:-P or:-p or:-Ъ - teasing the interlocutor with his tongue hanging out.

[:]|||[:] – button accordion image. On Internet slang, the name of this musical instrument usually denotes something that is no longer relevant and has been seen many times.

/:-] - a hint that the interlocutor has a little bit of “attic dripping”.

*:O) is the symbol for a clown. If the participant of the correspondence went over with humor and cannot stop, you can notify him about this.

*->->- – image of a carnation. You can give the interlocutor a flower.

(_!_) - naked human ass. It is unlikely that your friends or acquaintances will appreciate such a gesture in real life, but in virtual spaces such an expression of emotions is quite common.

Emoticons characters and characters

This set of emoticons allows you to depict a face with some pronounced characteristic (both psychological and physical features) or a famous person, for example, a character in a cult movie or cartoon, a historical figure, etc.

<]:-o) – волшебник/волшебница, ведьма или колдунья (зависит от контекста употребления).

Japanese emoticons from characters

Being a very emotional and creative nation, the Japanese quickly mastered communication with emoticons. Moreover, their visually rich language allowed them to create several thousand variants of their emoji, called kaomoji (stands for face + symbol). Their main difference from the designations popular in Western culture is that the schematic representation of a human face is always in a horizontal plane. It does not need to be mentally turned 90 degrees. Otherwise, the differences are minimal, except that the Japanese are not shy about sprinkling emoticons with rare signs.

Japanese emoticons of positive emotions

Joy emoticons - usually distinguished by high-set eyes, a smiling mouth and raised wand hands. A variety of characters can be used as a mouth, from the usual dot to the letters of the Greek alphabet. Many Japanese women use the letter ω (omega) for their mouth, resembling lips folded in a bow. So, in their opinion, the emoticon becomes more cute, “kawaii”.

Love emoticons - in them, the Japanese very often use the heart symbol ♡, placing it on the cheeks, in the hands of the smiley, or even instead of the eyes. Asterisks (*) in context indicate embarrassment, as do the hands covering the face emoji. The letter ω (omega) indicates the intention to kiss the interlocutor.

(´ ∀)ノ~ ♡ - A smiley with a raised hand, a tilde and a heart imitates an air kiss sent to an object of interest.

Σ>―(〃°ω°〃)♡→ – original confession “I fell in love”. Kawaii emoticon pierced by Cupid's arrow.

♡ (˘▽˘>ԅ(˘⌣˘) – a couple in love holding hands with a satisfied look.

☆⌒ヽ(*’、^*)chu - these three consecutive letters in Japanese are consonant with the sound of a kiss. In practice, it turns out something like the Russian “smack-smack”.

(ノ´ h) ノ - a smiley with all its appearance showing that its sender wants to hug and kiss the addressee well.

A few more options for love emoticons:

Emoticons of embarrassment - as mentioned earlier, the most common symbol for this emotion is *, associated with a blush and / or various signs with lines that imitate hands covering the face and eyes. Alternatively, slashes (////) may be used. Such drawing is often used in Japanese animation when it is necessary to display embarrassment on the character's face.

(◡‿◡ *) - a shy emoticon with lowered or closed eyes.
(⁄ ⁄>⁄ ▽ ⁄<⁄ ⁄) – сильное смущение, заставившее покраснеть все лицо человека.

(*/。\) - embarrassed or ashamed of something emoticon, awkwardly trying to cover his face with his hands.

Other common embarrassment emoticons:

Emoticons of sympathy - are small scenes with two characters. One emoticon acts as a subject upset by something, and the second one gives him support. Nothing prevents you from taking your favorite faces from other categories and combining them to your taste by making your own kaomoji.

(ノ_<。)ヾ(´ ▽) – довольный жизнерадостный смайлик похлопывает по плечу своего расстроенного друга.

ヽ( ̄ω ̄(。。)ゝ – similar situation, but this time a sympathetic comrade puts a hand on the shoulder of a downcast friend.
(o・_・)ノ”(ノ_<、) – заботливое поглаживание по голове.

Japanese emoticons of negative emotions

Discontent emoticons - a wrinkled face and / or closed eyes are considered to be a generally accepted expression of this emotion (this convention has passed into emoticons from anime and manga). The # or ^ sign is perfect for this purpose instead of the mouth, signaling the contemptuously raised lower lip.

(#><) – this guy clearly saw something annoying him and narrowed his eyes in displeasure.

(︶︹︺) - symbolizes a contemptuous person who looks at the interlocutor with disdain.

凸( ̄ヘ ̄) – no need to comment here. This emoticon not only does not hide its displeasure, but also shows its attitude towards the interlocutor with the help of a world-famous gesture.

<( ̄ ﹌ ̄)>- this person clearly does not intend to joke and is ready to sort things out in a raised voice with the subject that caused her discontent.

Other types of displeasure emoticons:

Anger emoticons are the most negative emotion that is difficult to confuse with any other. At the head of the exposition here are the eyes, which in evil emoticons are usually drawn not in circles, but in lines or sharp figures with a black fill. To give an even more intimidating effect, wrinkles, attributes like claws or offensive gestures are added.

(‡▼益▼) - An evil grin, a scar on his cheek, black eyes and a wrinkled nose. With all its appearance, this emoticon demonstrates that it is better not to mess with him.
ψ(▼へ▼メ)~→ - the guy with the spear and pitchfork is obviously angry with someone, so it's better to stay away from him.
(凸ಠ益ಠ)凸– Small pupils in people are often associated with anger, irritability, and other negative emotions, so they fit perfectly with this emoji.
٩ (ఠ益ఠ) ۶ - clenched fists and a fierce look. This angry emoji is not only angry with symbols, but also does not mind taking out his anger on someone.

Sad emoji are one of the easiest to display. It is enough to choose symbols so that the eyes look tearful, for example, use two letters T. Alternatively, you can draw dashed hands that will cover your face. Downturned corners of the mouth and raised eyebrows also clearly hint at a state of despondency.

(μ_μ) - this emoticon has several meanings (depending on the context of the correspondence). In this case, for example, it most of all resembles a face filled with tears.

(゚,_ゝ`) - a sad smiley character with a small teardrop.
(ಥ﹏ಥ) - an emotional emoticon with a trembling mouth, trying hard not to cry.

。゜゜(´O) ゜゜。 is no longer just sadness, but a real hysteria with a waterfall of tears.

Pain emoticons are usually a closed, suffering grimace, sometimes supplemented with all sorts of special effects like stunning, scratches, scars, etc. Cross-shaped eyes (X, x, and others) are well suited for designation.

~(>_<~) – смайлик, которого мучают головные боли.
(☆[email protected]) - the guy was stunned and put a good black eye under his eye.
[ ± _ ± ] – crosses instead of eyes clearly hint that the smiley at the moment would prefer to die, if only his suffering would stop.

(×﹏×) - a wavy mouth combined with cross-shaped eyes symbolizes restrained painful emotions.

Fear emoticons - A scared emoji is easy to depict with the right eyes and hand gestures. Shouts, attempts to cover the face, chaotic swings - all this can show how frightened a person is (from a slight stupor to panic and horror).

(・人・) is a clear illustration of the saying “Fear has big eyes”. A frightened look and pupils narrowed in horror.
\(º □ º l|l)/ – can be regarded as a call for help or running around shouting “save-help”.

〜(><)〜– The frightened emoticon closed his eyes in fear and covered his ears with his hands.
..・ヾ(。><)シ– this emoticon is afraid and runs away from something in a panic.

Japanese Emoticons of Neutral Emotions

Emoticons of indifference - are expressed in the form of a characteristic shrug of the shoulders or spreading of the arms to the sides. For this purpose, pairs of characters ┐ ┌ and ╮ ╭ are best suited. Eyes are drawn with narrow horizontal lines or dots. Below you can see several options for displaying your ostentatious indifference.

  • ╮(˘ 、 ˘)╭
  • ヽ(ー_ー)ノ
  • ヽ(´ー)┌
  • ┐(‘~)┌
  • ヽ( ̄d ̄)ノ
  • ┐( ̄ヘ ̄)┌
  • ヽ( ̄~ ̄ )ノ
  • ╮( ̄_ ̄)╭

Confusion emoticons are ideal if a person needs to show the interlocutor that they were very puzzled by the message they sent. Characteristic hand gestures and ellipsis (...) are used for designation, which are symbolic synonyms for the thought process, loading, pause, information processing.

(◎ ◎) ゞ- Seriously puzzled by what he saw, scratching his head.
ლ (ಠ_ಠ ლ) - emoji depicts a strong mental stress or, depending on the context, an attempt to convey some thought to the opponent.
(・・) ? - a question mark near the head, a universal designation of misunderstanding.

(-_-;)・・・– don't interfere, the person thinks carefully.

Emoticons of doubt - the easiest way to convey this emotion is to move the eyes to the left or right. Pointer symbols, such as arrows, are used to convey meaning. Several options can be seen below.

  • (¬_¬)
  • (→_→)
  • (¬ ¬)
  • (¬‿¬)
  • (¬_¬)
  • (←_←)
  • (¬ ¬)
  • (¬‿¬)

Surprise emoticons are drawn with round, white inside or eyes with tiny pupils, sometimes with an open mouth and showing specific hand gestures. The symbol Σ in this context shows a sharp flinch.

(: ౦ ‸ ౦ :) - the smiley is in great confusion or even in a stupor from what he saw.

(°ロ°) ! - a combination of two emotions, showing the surprise of an exclamation point and an open mouth in a smile. Shows that suddenly received news was pleasant.

(⊙_⊙) - shocked, puzzled, but clearly not happy smiley.

w(°o°)w - “what the hell”, “how so”, “why did this happen”.

Designation of various actions with Japanese emoticons

Greetings. The easiest way to imitate this action is to raise the right or left hand of the emoticon. You can use a special character with two small dashes above (ノ゙), which resembles a side-to-side greeting.

  • ( ̄▽ ̄)ノ
  • (*・ω・)ノ
  • (°▽°)/
  • (´ ∀)ノ
  • (^-^*)/
  • (@´ー)ノ゙
  • (´ ω )ノ
  • (° ∀ °)ノ゙

Embrace. If you want to show the interlocutor that you are mentally hugging him or just want to express your support for him, use the emoji with arms spread out to the sides. There are many options - here are just a few.

(づ◡﹏◡)づ - condescending hugs of a person who simply cannot refuse an interlocutor.
(つ . ́ _ʖ ̀ .)つ – sympathetic hug. The person is concerned about what he heard from the interlocutor and wants to support him.
(づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ - hugs with kisses.
(づ ◕‿◕)づ - Joyful hugs.

Wink. The simplest emotion, to display which you only need to draw one of the eyes of the emoticon closed / squinted, and leave the other open for contrast. A variety of symbols can be used here, it all depends on your creativity.

  • (^_~)
  • (゚o⌒)
  • (^_-)≡☆
  • (^ω~)
  • (>ω^)
  • (~人^)
  • (^_-)
  • (-_・)

Apologies. Among the Japanese, it is customary to apologize with a slight bow, which is why emoji reflect a similar picture. The eyes are drawn small and pointing down, thus depicting remorse. Various hand gestures diversify emoji.

(シ_ _)シ - hands in motion symbolize repeated bows.
<(_ _)>- a deep bow and an admission of guilt.

m (_ _) m - the letters m represent bows from a sitting position. Hands lie on some surface, for example, lean on a table.

Dream. Here the display is not much different from that adopted in Europe. It is enough just to draw closed eyes and attribute something like Zzzzzz. This letter usually imitates the snoring of a sleeping person.

(x . x) ~~zzZ - The combination of the sleep emote and cross-eyes indicates that the subject is fast asleep and it will not be easy to wake him up.

(-ω-) zzZ - This emoji is clearly having pleasant dreams.

(_ _*) Z z z - sleep with your face buried in a pillow.

( ̄ρ ̄)..zzZZ is an open-mouthed, drooling emoticon.

Hide and Seek. If you need to represent an action in which your smiley character hides, character sets will allow you to do this. Emotions reflected on the face will enlighten the interlocutor about the context of what is happening. Let's give some examples.

┬┴┬┴┤(・_├┬┴┬┴ – the smiley cautiously and with a rather frightened look peeks out from behind the wall, clearly expressing apprehension and concern at what he saw.

┬┴┬┴┤(͡° ͜ʖ├┬┴┬┴ – a well-known meme with 4chan face Lenny is hiding behind the wall. It is often used by people who want to express their interest or have done something dirty and are now happy with what they have done. You can use it to troll opponents on the forums and in chats.
ヾ(・| is a cautious emoticon calling his friend.

Letter. When you need to demonstrate that you are writing something, the symbol φ, which closely resembles a pen, is great. For paper or any other surface, a simple underscore _ is usually used.

ヾ(ー´)シφ__ - a smiley with hand movements shows that a person writes something very quickly, in a hurry.
__φ(..;) - semicolon and small eyes hint at the subject's concentration.

(^▽^)ψ__ is another spelling. This time, instead of the symbol φ, no less suitable ψ is used. True, if you use it in the wrong context, the image of the writer can be confused with a person sitting with a fork in front of a plate.

Smileys with animals

Cats. As one of the cutest and most adorable creatures on the planet, cats have gained popularity in many cultures. And in Japan, and in general, they made a real cult of them (take at least all these numerous anime characters with cat ears and tails). Emoticons with cats among kaomoji with animals are the most. Here are some of the best options:

The virtual world is good because with the help of graphics you can reflect your individuality and status. Especially often girls and women like to use these techniques. For example, on the page you can set a beautiful heart, a bird, an arrow, or another stylish sign you like. After that, women's pages look especially attractive.

Beautiful icons for nicknames will decorate the page of a girl or woman of any age.

How to insert beautiful symbols, letters or colored icons into a nickname

In order for these beautiful images to appear on the desired page, you should copy them and paste them in the right place. For this you need:

  • press the left mouse button;
  • select the object you like in the catalog;
  • copy it by pressing the right mouse button first, and then the left;
  • then the letter or icon is transferred to the required page and inserted into the text, last name, first name or status.

With this procedure, you do not need to use a Word document, text editor or Excel spreadsheet. Many people think that they are needed as an intermediate link for editing a future status or nickname. If you do it this way, then a beautiful symbol or sign will turn into a bunch of incomprehensible squares. They are only supported in Opera, Mozilla, Chrome, etc. browsers.

The signs selected for design can only be read on the Internet and are simply “destroyed” when transferred.

You can choose these beautiful icons for free. These can be blanks of capital letters with curlicues or, on the contrary, written in a drawing font. The choice of such symbols is extremely wide and every woman can choose the one that suits her best.

There is another, more complicated way of writing beautiful icons. Various key combinations are used for this. For example, hold Alt then 1 and release Alt. The end result is a smiley face. And if Alt + 3, then you get a heart. On the Internet you can find entire tables for such combinations.

Colored designs and frame templates for women's texts

For text, you can use different color backgrounds or templates in the form of frames with pictures or photos. Taking advantage of these "privileges" is also very simple. The background color can be set by choosing in the "Themes" section or during the creation of the post. As a result, the text will appear on one or another background and will no longer merge with the total mass of posts that the Internet is packed to capacity with.

Such tricks are especially appropriate for congratulations, writing a post about how the owner of the page celebrates the holiday.

For example, the owner of the page writes about how the New Year holidays were spent. If this is done on a white background, then the post will not catch the eye and is unlikely to decorate the page. And if it is a frame with the image of balls selected, for example, on Facebook, then the post will play in a completely different way.

When blogging, you can use not only plain backgrounds, but also frames with images. They can be stylized as recipes, romantic and other poems, or reflect the status of the page owner. For example, the frame has space for ingredients, descriptions of step-by-step preparations, and a picture of a beautifully designed dish. Such a post will be much more attractive and will be remembered better.

The page will be decorated not only with letters, but also with beautiful frames and colored backgrounds.

Using frames and colored backgrounds, you can decorate not only your own page. With such posts or frames, you can congratulate friends or girlfriends. If you want to get an exclusive background or frame, then you can use the services of professionals who will fulfill such an order. The frame may include a picture you like, a photo of the page owner or her child, husband or friend. And the inscription can be done in capital letters.

It is quite easy to use such colored backgrounds or frames. After copying the code from a special column of the catalog, text is inserted in a certain place. Some frames or backgrounds can be not only beautifully designed, but also contain music.

Beautiful and stylish design of a page on a social network or blog has become accessible to many. To get beautiful or capital letters or backgrounds, frames or signs, you can use special directories that are easy to find through a search engine.
