How to make a three-dimensional tree

Glue two sheets of colored cardboard together. In this master class we took cardboard of different colors, this makes the tree more fun. But you can also use two sheets of cardboard of the same color, then the tree trunk will be the same color on all sides. We completely lubricate the wrong sides of the cardboard with glue stick and press them tightly against each other. To prevent the cardboard from warping, you can put it under a press - a stack of books - for a while. This stage can be completed together with your child.

On a sheet of cardboard (can be a boxed one or the crust of a paper folder) draw the outline of a tree. This will be the template. It should be cut out, so it is advisable to draw the branches thick and not very long. It is advisable to leave the making of the template to a full adult.

Fold sheets of colored paper in half. On the wrong side, coat one half with glue. Glue the halves to each other. We also put it under pressure for a while. In the future, we will make leaves for the tree from these sheets, this determines the choice of color.

If the tree is supposed to be autumn, then the paper should be chosen yellow, orange, red. For a winter tree there will not be leaves, but white or blue snowdrifts. The choice is yours. It would be possible to use double-sided paper, but it would not be as thick, i.e., durable. And this is important if the tree will be used in children's play. Gluing sheets can be done together with your child.

We trace the tree template on a cardboard sheet with either a pencil or pen. You should circle the template twice.

You can trace with your child, and leave the cutting to the child himself. In the photo on the left, the part was cut out by a child, on the right - by an adult.

We make leaves. To do this, cut sheets of colored paper into strips. We fold the strip like an accordion. Draw a leaf on one part with a pencil. And the child cuts it out.

Children usually like it when cutting out one leaf, they get several at once.

We make cuts on both parts-trunks. On one part there is a vertical cut from bottom to middle, on the other - from top to middle. We will leave this stage to an adult.

We insert the parts into each other into the cuts. Now our tree will be stable.

And the last thing is gluing leaves onto tree branches. You can arrange a competition to see who can stick their pile of leaves onto the branches the fastest.

Our friendly team discussed the design in advance and all groups began to prepare 100 snowflakes per group for the planned curtain of snow-white snowflakes. Soon they were ready.

• We begin to form tree branches from the elements, gradually intertwining them so that we get the shape of a tree. To prevent the structure from falling apart, we wrap the wire with masking tape.
• When the structure is ready, it is necessary to coat it with gypsum mortar.
• When the tree is dry, plant it in a pot, paint the trunk and branches with acrylic paint, and seal the surface with varnish.

Advice: Recipe for gypsum mortar: mix PVA glue and gypsum in a 1:1 ratio. The consistency should be moderately liquid. To prevent the crown of the branches from getting dirty during plastering, cover it with cling film. We apply the plaster with a brush, and a simple needle or toothpick will help create the texture of the bark.

Bonsai are usually decorated with stones, moss, gravel, dry grass and other natural materials. The main rule is that the craft must have a natural and lively appearance.
