A bolt is a product in the form of a metal steel rod with external metric or inch threads on one side and on the opposite side - a hex head for a wrench or a hex socket head. A bolt makes a threaded connection through a nut or a threaded hole in any product being connected.
The bolt according to GOST 7798-70 is made of carbon, stainless (A2 and A4) steels, as well as brass, copper, etc.
Bolt strength class 5.8; 8.8; 10.9 and less used strength classes 12.9; 4.8; 3.6. When galvanizing bolts, shiny or matte zinc, cadmium, nickel, chrome and bluing (anodizing) are used.
The bolts offered by VIK-METIZ are widely used in the mechanical engineering industry, construction, light and heavy industry, and other industries related to production, together with nuts and washers of the same size. At the same time, bolts in accordance with GOST 7798-70 can be used for installation work in structures and equipment together with driven anchors and anchor sleeves.

Bolts GOST 7798 70 refer to the standard type of fastener, which consists of two parts: a cylindrical rod with threaded threads and a head. These hex head hardware are sometimes called machine screws. The difference is that a bolt is a functional hardware only if there is a nut that is screwed onto a threaded GOST 7798 70 fastener rod.
The design with a head adapted for a hex key is considered one of the most common. Thus, high technological compatibility of the tools with hardware products is ensured.
The products are used in the mechanical engineering industry. In construction, bolts are used to fasten metal structures and attachments, which can be mounted using GOST 7798 70 fasteners. Hardware is characterized by mechanical strength. This is facilitated by the carbon and alloy steels used in their manufacture.
Key Features
VOLAT LLC offers to purchase bolts with large and fine thread pitches, with special properties in accordance with GOST 7798 70. If necessary, you can order hardware from us for specific operating conditions.
In production we use various types of anti-corrosion and wear-resistant steels, as well as alloys of non-ferrous metals. The length of the fastener is no more than 300 mm, the diameter of the threaded thread is 6-48 mm. The customer chooses independently:
- type of coating;
- accuracy class;
- tolerance field.
Hex head bolts can be galvanized or galvanized; we also produce uncoated black hardware in accordance with GOST 7798 70. Production according to individual customer drawings is possible.

Hex head bolts are a split type of connection. All of them are produced according to certain standards, depending on the purpose for which they are intended. This is the reason for the huge variety of different bolt samples.
Among the most popular, especially in mechanical engineering, is a bolt with a hexagonal head GOST 7798 70. Bolts with increased accuracy class A are used when the holes at the joints are only 0.25-0.3 mm larger than the diameter of the bolt, which is practically eliminates deformation of the fastening joint under increased load. The hex bolt GOST 7798-70 has a normal accuracy class - B. It is almost identical to bolts 7805-70, with the difference that it can be used for holes at the joints that are 1-1.5 mm larger than the diameter of the bolt. This type of bolt has a zinc coating, like most of its analogues. This means that such a bolt is practically not exposed to the external environment and is resistant to corrosion. This allows these bolts to be used for a long time, regardless of low or high ambient temperatures.
